Actor Huma Qureshi has spoken out about the impact of 'negative comments' on her looks and appearance early in her career. She revealed that facing those comments affected her confidence and made her withdrawn.
In a recent chat show appearance, Huma shared her experience of dealing with trolling and body-shaming, saying, 'It really affected me, and I became very withdrawn for a while.' She added that constant judgment starts impacting one's confidence.
However, Huma has since found a path to self-acceptance. She revealed that she started meditating, writing, journaling, and even taking therapy to cope with her insecurities and online criticism.
Over time, Huma became more secure about herself and her appearance. Today, she can laugh at jokes, even crack jokes about herself, and take things in a more positive way.
Huma has had a successful acting career, with notable films including Gangs of Wasseypur, Dedh Ishqiya, Badlapur, and Jolly LLB 2. She has also gained critical acclaim for her performances in Ek Thi Daayan and Monica O My Darling.
The actor will next be seen in Geetu Mohandas' Toxic, alongside Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria.
