Main Vaapas Aaunga, the latest film by Imtiaz Ali, has seen a significant box office surge in its second week. The romantic drama, which had a lukewarm start, is now seeing additional shows added by major cinema chains in response to a strong audience response.

The film's distributors and exhibitors reported that the response to the movie has strengthened considerably over the past week, with Gautam Dutta, CEO-Revenue & Operations, PVR INOX Limited, stating that the film's performance reflects sustained audience interest.

Main Vaapas Aaunga has managed this reversal in fortunes despite having to contend with new releases this week, including Cocktail 2. The film has registered a 130% jump in collections on its second Saturday compared to its first Friday, earning ₹6.25 crore net in its second week.

The film's makers are hopeful that the film can recover and aim for a respectable box-office total. With its strong word-of-mouth and memorable score, Main Vaapas Aaunga is showing signs of genuine and sustained audience interest.
