Imtiaz Ali's latest directorial, Main Vaapas Aaunga, has shown signs of improvement in its midweek collections, with a total India gross of ₹9.75 crore and a total India net of ₹8.15 crore so far.

The film, which tells a love story set against the backdrop of the Partition of India, collected ₹1.50 crore on its 5th day of release, slightly higher than its Monday haul of ₹1.15 crore.

The film's positive word of mouth has led to a growth in its box office collections, with theatres in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru almost full for night shows.

Main Vaapas Aaunga stars Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, and Sharvari, and tells the story of a 95-year-old man who suffers a stroke while desperately trying to rush to Pakistan.
