The Indian film industry is mourning the loss of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who left an indelible mark on Indian music with her illustrious career spanning over eight decades.
As a tribute to her, Indian musicians and the film industry showed their respect in various ways, including concerts and postponed releases.
Singer Shreya Ghoshal paid a tribute to Asha Bhosle during her concert at The O2 in London, performing some of Bhosle's iconic songs, including Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar and Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani.
Karan Aujla also paid a tribute to the late singer by marking a moment of silence at his Mumbai concert and playing a mash-up of 15 of her iconic songs.
Other musicians, including sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, also paid tribute to Asha Bhosle during their live performances.
The makers of the upcoming Hindi films Chand Mera Dil and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai postponed the release of their assets in respect of Bhosle's passing.
A medical centre in Pune has been renamed the Lata-Asha Mangeshkar Institute of Medical Sciences in tribute to Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar, two of India's most celebrated musical icons.
