The assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has plunged the Middle East into a full-blown conflict. Iranian actress Elnaaz Norouzi, known for her role in Sacred Games, has welcomed Khamenei's death, calling it the first step to a 'free Iran.'

Norouzi took to Instagram Stories to share the news and express her gratitude, accompanied by celebratory emojis. She also shared a series of posts detailing human rights violations and excesses in Iran during Khamenei's reign.

Khamenei, who was Iran's Supreme Leader since 1989, was killed in US-Israel missile attacks. His death has prompted retaliatory attacks on US bases in the UAE and Qatar, and Iran has vowed to avenge his death.

Norouzi, born in Tehran, moved to Germany as a child and began her career as a model and actor in Europe. She made her acting debut in a Pakistani film in 2017 and has since appeared in various Indian shows and films, including Wheel of Fortune as a co-host.
