Seventeen years after the award-winning film Paan Singh Tomar (2012) was shot in 2009, a 47-minute documentary A Story That Refused to Die on the making will be screened in Mumbai on April 29. The documentary, which features 60 hours of lost content, is a tribute to the late actor Irrfan and directed by documentary-filmmaker Ranjeeta Kaur.

Ranjeeta Kaur, who worked on the film as a BTS person, says that the content was lost multiple times, but she has finally managed to bring it to life. The film, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, won National Awards and Irrfan's contribution to the cinema is eternal, according to Tigmanshu.

The documentary will be screened on Irrfan's sixth death anniversary and will be followed by a conversation with filmmakers Tigmanshu and Vishal Bhardwaj, and a Sufi night at NMACC.
