The team of Peddi held a 'thank you meet' in Hyderabad to discuss the film's box office performance. Jagapathi Babu, who played a key role, thanked those who gave the film 'bad reviews', saying they unknowingly helped the team.
At the event, Jagapathi addressed the backlash Peddi received online over Janhvi Kapoor's role, saying the film's subject was so razor-edge that the audience could have panned it. He praised Ram Charan for shouldering the film well, calling him 'Superman'.
Peddi grossed ₹233 crore worldwide in its first weekend, despite the backlash. The film's producer and director apologized for objectionable scenes and said they would be removed.
