Janhvi Kapoor's makeup artist, Savleen Kaur Manchanda, has come out in support of the actor amid criticism surrounding her character in the film Peddi. According to a post shared by Savleen on Instagram, Janhvi had objected to certain shots in the film during post-production.
The post claims that Janhvi had questioned the camera angles used in some scenes and drew a 'professional line.' However, the final edit kept the footage anyway.
Recently, fan clubs of the actor shared screenshots of text messages that were purportedly sent by Janhvi to them, suggesting that she had repeatedly raised concerns about the way certain scenes featuring her character were being filmed.
Despite the backlash, Peddi continues to perform strongly at the box office, collecting ₹126 crore net in India and over ₹190 crore worldwide.
