Actor Jenna Ortega has joined the cast of Leos Carax's highly anticipated film Lily May B, marking the French filmmaker's follow-up to his 2021 musical romance Annette. The project is set to begin production in Spring 2027.
Ortega, known for her breakout role in the popular series Wednesday, will star in the film alongside an ensemble cast, which is expected to be announced in September.
The synopsis for Lily May B reads: 'Once upon a time, there was a little girl, a young woman and a young boy. They each held a secret too heavy to bear. They met in an end-of-the-world world, and together rode a big motorcycle through empty cities, deserted freeways, immemorial forests. On their journey, they encountered many dangers, but kept going. In search of who they were; in search of a place to B, maybe?'
Carax described the film as 'what destroyed us, and what kept us alive.'
