Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has put an end to speculation about a feud with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, stating that the two have never met and their online clash was fueled by differing opinions on the farmers' protests.

Speaking to NDTV, Kangana dismissed any talk of an ongoing feud, saying, 'We are not against each other. We just had contradictory opinions about a certain event.'

She also clarified that she has 'nothing against' Diljit, adding that they've never met in person. When asked about a potential face-to-face meeting, Kangana showed no hesitation, saying she saw no reason why it couldn't happen.

The controversy began in December 2020 when Kangana shared a photo of an elderly woman at a protest site, mistakenly identifying her as a prominent face from the Shaheen Bagh anti-CAA agitations. Diljit was among the earliest voices to call out the misinformation, sharing a BBC interview to prove the woman's identity.

The exchange turned into a heated online war, with Kangana calling Diljit a 'bootlicker' and 'Karan Johar's pet.' Diljit fired back fiercely, defending the honour and dignity of the protesting women.

Kangana's latest film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, has just landed in theaters, alongside Diljit's Main Vaapas Aaunga.
