Actor Karisma Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Brown, a new web series set to premiere on Zee5 on June 5. Initially, she had turned down the script but was later convinced to do it. Speaking to ANI, Karisma shared that she was hesitant to play the role due to the extensive shooting in Kolkata.

However, after meeting director Abhinay Deo, she was convinced to take on the role of Rita Brown, a broken alcoholic cop investigating a brutal murder case. The series also stars Surya Sharma as Inspector Arjun Sinha, a grieving widower struggling with survivor's guilt.

Director Abhinay Deo aims to make Brown a human story, forcing viewers to think about morality and punishment. The series explores the complexities of human nature, making it a unique and gripping crime thriller.
