The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Priya Sachdev, widow of late businessman Sunjay Kapur, over her application to withdraw funds from his estate to pay school fees for his children with ex-wife Karisma Kapoor.

Priya has sought permission to access Sunjay's Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) accounts to cover the educational expenses of Samaira and Kiaan, amidst an ongoing inheritance battle involving her, Karisma Kapoor, and Sunjay's mother Rani Kapur.

The court had previously frozen Sunjay's estate, but made an exception for essential expenses related to his children.

Priya's legal team has clarified that the funds would only be used for school fees and related academic expenses.

The dispute over Sunjay's estate began after his death in June 2025, with Karisma's kids alleging that Priya forged his will.
