Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, which hit theaters on December 25, seems to have fallen short of expectations despite its holiday season release. The film's box office performance has been overshadowed by the record-breaking run of Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, which has dominated the box office for three weeks. According to Sacnilk, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri collected ₹3.82 crore by 10 PM on its second day, indicating a decline from its opening day figure of ₹7.75 crore. The film is now expected to reach around ₹5 crore by the end of the day, bringing its total collection to ₹11.57 crore. The poor box office performance of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri can be attributed to the strong competition from Dhurandhar and the Hollywood film Avatar: Fire and Ash. Dhurandhar collected ₹12.17 crore on Saturday, more than double what Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri collected on its second day. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Sanjay Vidwans, revolves around the love story of Ray (Kartik) and Rumi (Ananya), who meet on a trip to Croatia. However, their romance is put to the test when Rumi's ageing father (Jackie Shroff) refuses to leave him alone in Agra. The film also stars Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, and Aruna Irani in key roles and is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta under the banners of Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures.
