Actor Krissann Barretto shares her emotional journey to motherhood, saying it's the 'most magical phase' of her life. She welcomed her baby girl Krisha with husband Nathan Karamchandani on May 20. Krissann admits she was overwhelmed with emotion and describes the moment she held her newborn as 'the most magical feeling in the world.'
She recalls discovering she was pregnant in September and says becoming a mom has given her a new perspective on women and motherhood. Krissann underwent a C-section and is recovering well, saying 'nothing compares to that feeling' of looking at her baby.
The 34-year-old actor says becoming a mother has changed her perspective on life, relationships, and her own parents. She adds that her bond with her mother and mother-in-law has deepened after becoming a mom herself.
One of the moments that stays closest to her heart is when her daughter recognises her presence and comfort. Krissann says, 'The moment she holds my hand and recognises me as her safe place… that feeling is indescribable.'
Now embracing motherhood full-time, Krissann says her priorities have naturally shifted, especially when it comes to work and career. She says, 'My daughter comes first now. I chose to bring her into this world and I feel responsible for giving her the best of everything.'
