Actor Kritika Kamra is in a happy zone both personally and professionally. She recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Gaurav Kapur, and is looking forward to the release of her new show, Matka King. In a candid chat with Hindustan Times, the actor opened up on her journey and what it feels like to be married.
Kritika, who married at the age of 37, admits that most of her childhood friends got married a decade earlier due to pressure. However, she was lucky to have parents who never stopped her from doing anything right. She believes that marrying late in life has its benefits, as you're very sure when you do it, and you do it your way.
When asked about her wedding, Kritika revealed that she and Gaurav wanted to get married in Mumbai, where they made a life together. They opted for an intimate ceremony at their home in Mumbai, surrounded by family and friends. A heartwarming moment from their wedding was when Gaurav got emotional upon seeing Kritika, a moment that left everyone in tears.
Kritika is also awaiting the release of Amazon Prime Video's Matka King, a fictional story inspired by real-life matka barons of Mumbai. The show tells the rise of Brij Bhatti, a fictional matka king, played by Vijay Varma. Matka King releases on Amazon Prime Video on April 17.
