Laapataa Ladies actor Satendra Soni has shared a distressed video on Instagram, alleging that a director threatened him and denied payment for shooting a film in Madhya Pradesh.
Soni, who played a pivotal role in Aamir Khan's Laapataa Ladies, broke down in tears as he shared how the filmmaker allegedly refused to pay his fees and even threatened him when he asked for his payment.
He claimed that the director, Pushpendra Singh, had given him ₹50,000 as a signing amount and promised to pay him after the shoot. However, when Soni asked for his payment after completing eight days of shoot, he was threatened and told to pack up.
Soni also accused the director's wife, Pragati Chauhan, of scolding and hurling abuses at him. He claimed that the three of them were chased in a car and beaten up by the director and his wife in the middle of the road.
Soni has played small but notable roles in several well-known projects, including Ayushmann Khurrana's Doctor G, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's Bawaal, and the television show Hello Bachhon. He gained wider recognition after playing a small but pivotal role in Aamir Khan's production Laapataa Ladies.
Son will next be seen in the highly anticipated Mirzapur: The Movie, which is based on the hit web series Mirzapur and stars Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ali Fazal, and Jitendra Kumar in lead roles.
