American comedian Louis CK has praised India's approach to poverty, saying it's 'functioning' and better than New York's homelessness.

During a recent chat with friend Jim Norton, Louis compared the economic structures of India and New York, highlighting the stark differences.

He noted that in India, he didn't see people living on the streets or struggling with addiction, unlike in New York where he often sees people injecting drugs in broad daylight.

Louis also pointed out that India has a 'standard' for poverty, with many levels of housing available at affordable prices, whereas in New York, people who can't afford a home are often left to fend for themselves.

Several users on Instagram agreed with Louis' comments, praising India's ability to support its poor population.
