Love Island USA Season 8 has been marred by controversy before its premiere. Cast member Vasana Montgomery was removed from the lineup after videos surfaced online showing her using the N-word.
Montgomery, a 25-year-old business owner from Oregon, had described herself as the 'full package' in a promo reel. However, two videos of her using the racial slur resurfaced online, leading to her removal from the show.
This is not the first time Love Island USA has faced this issue. Last year, two contestants were removed over the past use of racial slurs. The show's format follows a group of contestants who must pair up or risk elimination, with public voting helping determine who stays and who goes.
Love Island USA Season 8 is scheduled to premiere on Peacock on June 2.
