The release of Netflix's documentary The Crash has brought attention to the 2022 car crash case of Mackenzie Shirilla, who killed her boyfriend and friend.
Steve Shirilla, Mackenzie's father, has been placed on administrative leave from his teaching job at Mary Queen of Peace School in Cleveland.
According to the school, an investigation is underway into allegations of poor judgment made on social media.
Mackenzie Shirilla was convicted of murder and aggravated vehicular homicide for the crash, which killed her boyfriend Dominic Russo and friend Davion Flanagan.
She was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison and is currently serving her sentence.
