Actor Madhoo has shared a shocking on-set experience from the 1997 drama Yeshwant, where she was slapped by co-star Nana Patekar during a scene. Madhoo, who played Nana's wife in the movie, revealed that she instinctively slapped him back moments later. The scene, which demanded intense emotions, was filmed without the use of glycerin, and Nana's commitment to authenticity pushed Madhoo beyond her comfort zone.

The scene, which was a critical turning point in the film, was wrapped up in half a day due to the raw and authentic performances. Madhoo joked that collaborating with Nana completely shifted her approach to her craft, and she became a method actor when working with him.

Madhoo clarified that Nana Patekar never treated her disrespectfully, and his outbursts were simply his way of keeping actors fully locked into their scenes. She added that Nana believed in living the character, and his approach had a lasting impact on her acting style.

Madhoo was last seen in the 2025 mythological drama Kannappa and is now gearing up for the historical drama Governor: The Silent Saviour, which is slated for a theatrical release on June 12, 2026.
