Malayalam actor Santhosh Nair died in a road accident in Pathanamthitta, leaving his wife critically injured. The accident occurred when the car collided with a lorry, causing severe injuries to both Santhosh and his wife.
Santhosh suffered critical injuries after his chest hit the steering wheel, while his wife suffered a fracture in her ribs. The actor was declared dead at the hospital, while his wife is undergoing treatment.
Santhosh made his debut in cinema with the 1982 film Ithu Njangalude Katha and went on to act in over 100 films, featuring in several Malayalam films, including Vasantha Sena, Nishedhi, and Khaki.
His latest film, Mohiniyattam, is currently running in theatres and marks his last on-screen appearance.
