Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju is gearing up for the release of her Tamil film Kara, opposite Dhanush. The film has been at the center of a controversy, with some critics accusing the director of 'brownfacing' Mamitha. However, Mamitha has come out in defense of the film, saying that she sees it as an opportunity to prove herself and push the boundaries of her acting career.
In an interview, Mamitha said that she doesn't see the backlash as unfair, as she is getting a chance to explore her craft and be more versatile. She added that it's the director's choice who sees her in a particular character, and she can't say no to the opportunity to work and earn her position.
Mamitha also spoke about working with Dhanush, saying that he is a dedicated actor who works hard on his characters. She considers him a big inspiration and loves to be challenged as an actor. Kara also stars Jayaram, Karunas, Lal, Suraj Venjaramoodu, KS Ravikumar, and is set to release in theaters on April 30.
