Actor Manoj Bajpayee's much-anticipated political drama, Governor: The Silent Saviour, hit theaters on June 12 amidst a massive box office clash. The crowded June 12 box office featured nine simultaneous releases, including Main Vaapas Aaunga, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, and Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past. Led the pack for the day was Main Vaapas Aaunga, pulling in a net collection of ₹1.15 crore.

Governor: The Silent Saviour, directed by Chinmay D. Mandlekar, revisits India's historic 1991 economic crisis and the efforts that helped the country avert a financial collapse. The film's ensemble cast is led by Manoj Bajpayee and includes Madhoo Shah, Noushad Mohamed Kunju, and Adah Sharma.
