Actor Manoj Bajpayee has spoken out against the online trolling and abuse he faced after the title of his upcoming Netflix film Ghooskhor Pandat was announced. The controversy led to personal attacks on his 15-year-old daughter and wife, with Manoj expressing his disappointment and frustration over the situation.

Speaking to NDTV, Manoj explained that actors are not usually consulted when a film's title is decided, but he personally had no issue with the title after it was finalized. He revealed that the filmmakers were willing to address concerns and had already changed the title by the time they appeared in court.

Defending the original title, Manoj said it referred to a character in the film, not a Pandit or a representative of all people. However, he condemned the personal attacks and threats, saying it was 'pathetic' that people who once respected him turned against him.

Manoj emphasized that if concerns had been communicated politely and respectfully, he would have had no issue listening and accepting them. The incident sparked a wider debate around artistic freedom, public sentiment, and online trolling, with Manoj's comments drawing attention to the impact such controversies can have on families of public figures.
