In Ginny Weds Sunny 2, Medha plays a young, urban girl who lies her way into an arranged marriage, a far cry from her character in 12th Fail.
Medha says she was trying to move away from the girl-next-door type roles after 12th Fail, but not due to fear of typecasting, but because she wanted to challenge herself.
'If I do something similar, it will be easy. It will be a cakewalk. Then where's the fun, where's the challenge,' she says.
Ginny Weds Sunny 2, written and directed by Prasshant Jha, releases in theatres on April 24.
