Hollywood star Meryl Streep says she's thrilled to represent older women in leading roles ahead of the release of her upcoming film "The Devil Wears Prada 2". The 20th Century Studios film is a sequel to the 2006 hit film and will also feature Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.

Streep, known for her acclaimed performances, said women over 50 often "disappear into the woodwork" and are less valued in culture. She's happy to represent women like herself in leading roles.

The story follows Streep's character, Miranda Priestly, navigating the decline of traditional print media and facing off against her former assistant, Emily Charlton.

The film is set to release on May 1 and also features Stanley Tucci.
