James Handy, an actor known for his roles in Jumanji and Top Gun: Maverick, was tragically murdered by the son of his girlfriend, Michael Gledhill.
Gledhill, 44, reportedly flagged down police officers and informed them that he was the person they were seeking after proclaiming, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”
Handy was found unconscious in the front yard of a residence, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest, and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Gledhill has been charged with murder and his bail has been set at $2,000,000.
Handy had a long and distinguished acting career, with nearly 150 credits listed on IMDB, including roles in Jumanji, Top Gun: Maverick, and various television series.
