Mrunal met Ranveer through a commercial she did for a hair brand, which led to filmmakers noticing her. She praised Ranveer's performance in Dhurandhar, saying it had depth and layers, and that she felt proud of him for being hardworking. Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to the film, was released on March 19 and has been doing well at the box office, collecting over ₹1032 crore. Mrunal is gearing up for the release of her next film, Dacoit, on April 10.
