Casting director Mukesh Chhabra has spoken out against the growing troll culture and negativity surrounding his recent films, Dhurandhar and Ramayana.
In a recent interview with News18, Mukesh expressed his disappointment and fear of the increasing negativity on social media, saying, 'The negativity is a bit too much these days. I don’t know ki yeh sab kaun karwaata hai, kaise karwaata hai (Who all make this happen and how). People tend to overjudge. I don’t know why. It can happen to anyone these days.'
He also mentioned that the trolls immediately disappear once a film releases, adding, 'I feel both bad and scared because people can say anything about anyone today.'
Mukesh further stated that the percentage of trolls on social media is very small and that the love that poured in after the release of Dhurandhar far surpassed the initial wave of negativity.
He also expressed his wish to see Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor star together in a film, calling it the 'biggest film of the country.'
Dhurandhar, a spy thriller starring Ranveer Singh, was labelled as propaganda but still emerged as a blockbuster, earning over ₹3,000 crore as a franchise. Ramayana, on the other hand, is one of the most anticipated films of 2026, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and scheduled to release in two parts.
