Actor Naga Chaitanya has approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights, citing the unauthorized use of his name, image, and AI-generated content.

His lawyer flagged content suggesting he had cheated on his ex-wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and ruined her career.

The court was shown unauthorized listings of merchandise featuring Chaitanya's likeness and defamatory YouTube videos.

Chaitanya's suit claims the usage of AI tools, deepfake technology, and digital manipulation techniques to circulate fabricated audiovisual content for commercial gain.

The court observed that while public figures are exposed to scrutiny, it has its limitations, and the matter has been listed for further hearing on September 30.
