The Bole Chudiyan project, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tamannaah Bhatia, has been stalled for years due to a dispute between its director, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, and the producer. According to Siddiqui, the producer failed to pay the cast and crew, including the lead actors, despite a promise to do so once the film recovers its costs. In 2019, production on the film was almost complete when the dispute began. The project was put on hold, and its climax, set in a courtroom with Anurag Kashyap playing a lawyer, was never filmed. The film's fate remains uncertain, but Siddiqui claims to have proof of bounced cheques and a signed extension agreement with the producer, which stated that pending payments would be made once the film became profitable. This isn't the first time Nawazuddin has attempted to break away from his serious image in films like Jogira Sara Ra, Motichoor Chaknachoor, and Tiku Weds Sheru, which unfortunately underperformed at the box office. The future of Bole Chudiyan remains unclear, but Siddiqui's accusations against the producer have shed light on the project's troubled past.
