The National Commission for Women has summoned Nora Fatehi, Sanjay Dutt, and others over the controversy surrounding the song 'Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke' from the Kannada film KD: The Devil.
The song has been slammed for its suggestive lyrics and choreography, with the NCW stating that the content prima facie appears to be sexually suggestive and violative of provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, IT Act, and POCSO Act.
The Commission has summoned lyricist Raqueeb Alam, producer Venkat K Narayana of KVN Group, and Kiran Kumar to appear before it on March 24, along with relevant documents.
The song's lyrical video has been removed from YouTube, and the filmmakers have taken down the Hindi version of the song.
Nora Fatehi has addressed the controversy on Instagram, stating that she does not endorse the song and thanking those who have put pressure on the filmmakers to remove it.
