Netflix has quietly scrapped the Indian adaptation of the Spanish drama Elite, Class, despite previously renewing it for a second season in 2023. The decision has left fans disappointed, as the show had received positive reviews with an 87% Rotten Tomatoes score and 6.3 out of 10 on IMDb.

Class, which premiered in 2023, followed the lives of three scholarship students at the elite Hampton International academy, exploring themes of power, privilege, and class divisions. The show's ensemble cast included Gurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, and Ayesha Kanga.

The cancellation of Class comes as part of a larger list of Netflix shows that have been axed, including Terminator Zero, Selling the City, and The Lincoln Lawyer, which will conclude with its fifth season.
