Mackenzie Shirilla, the Ohio woman convicted of intentionally crashing her car at nearly 100 mph and killing her boyfriend and a friend in 2022, had a chilling nickname behind bars. Her ex-girlfriend, Shyann Topping, revealed that Shirilla was known as 'Shirilla the Killa' in prison.
Topping, who dated Shirilla after she arrived at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in 2023, said Shirilla was not bothered by the nickname and even laughed about it. However, Topping's opinion of Shirilla changed once she started looking into the facts of the case.
Shirilla was found guilty on all 12 charges in August 2023 and was sentenced to two concurrent 15-year-to-life terms. She is currently incarcerated at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville, Ohio.
The true-crime documentary 'The Crash' is now streaming on Netflix, detailing the events surrounding the fatal crash.
