Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra has spoken out about the challenges of balancing motherhood and work, highlighting the need for postpartum support.
Since welcoming her son Neer with Raghav Chadha in October 2025, Parineeti has returned to work and is set to star in the Netflix series Talaash: A Mother's Search.
In a recent interview, Parineeti stressed that mothers require proper medical care and emotional support even after childbirth, and that postpartum depression is often misunderstood.
“It’s not just about taking care of the baby,” she said. “Sometimes that’s the easy part, and the woman is going through much more.”
Parineeti also spoke about the importance of a strong support system, saying that if mothers don’t have that support in the first few months postpartum, they collapse, and the baby, family, and house collapse.
“It will never be easy, and that’s why you choose the life and schedules that work for you,” she added.
