Actor and billionaire heiress Paris Hilton is speaking out against artificial intelligence-generated deepfake porn on the internet. In a video shared on social media, Paris revealed that there are over 100,000 explicit deepfake images of her made by AI, none of which are real or consensual.
Paris has been a vocal advocate for the Defiance Act, a bipartisan federal bill that aims to give survivors of AI porn a legal remedy. The bill, spearheaded by House Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Laurel Lee, would allow victims to take civil action against perpetrators.
Paris has personal experience with online sexual abuse, having faced it over two decades ago after a sex tape featuring her and then-boyfriend Rick Salomon was leaked onto the internet. She has since become a vocal advocate for survivors' rights and is now fighting to protect her own daughter from the same fate.
“I will keep telling the truth to protect every woman, every girl, every survivor now and for the future,” Paris said in the video.
