The upcoming road trip drama starring Patralekhaa and Maanvi Gagroo has been retitled Heer Sara and its release date has been pushed to June 12 due to a certification delay.
The film, which was earlier scheduled to release on May 29, has undergone a title change from Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry to Heer Sara, with the makers believing the shorter title would connect better with audiences.
However, the rebranding created an unexpected hurdle with the certification process, requiring the makers to update all official paperwork, promotional assets, and censor approvals with the new title.
The film follows the story of two women, Heer and Sara, who embark on a motorcycle journey from Indore to Pondicherry, seeking freedom from societal expectations and unresolved emotional baggage.
Directed and written by Kartik Chaudhry, the film is creatively backed by producer Raj Singh Chaudhary and features actors Arif Zakaria, Shveta Salve, and Nishank Verma in supporting roles.
