Robert Pattinson has responded to the criticism he faced over his physique in the 2022 film The Batman. In an interview with GQ magazine, Pattinson revealed that he underwent rigorous training for the role, working out twice a day, sometimes as early as 3 am.
The actor set up a home gym to build more muscle ahead of filming The Batman: Part II and intensified his fitness regimen after some viewers felt his physique did not match their expectations of the superhero build.
Pattinson blamed the perception on interviews in which he said exercise was uncool, which caused some to think he wasn't taking the role seriously.
The actor is set to return to the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the long-awaited sequel, which will also star Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson.
