Buchi Babu Sana's Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Peddi has received a significant update two weeks after its release. Almost six minutes of new scenes have been added to the film, while scenes objectifying Janhvi's character have been removed.

The film's official social media accounts made the announcement, stating that 5 minutes 56 seconds of new scenes would be added to the theatres. This comes after director Buchi confirmed the changes at a press conference earlier this week.

Fans who watched the updated film confirmed that the problematic scenes where Peddi kisses Achiyyamma without her consent and other hypersexualising scenes have been removed. New scenes, including a pelli choopulu (matchmaking) scene and a market scene, have been added.

The changes have received mixed reactions from fans, with some praising the updated film and others criticising the decision to add new scenes so late in the game.

Peddi has collected ₹226 crore net in India and ₹320.20 crore worldwide in 14 days, with the film's team claiming it has grossed over ₹400 crore in the same period.
