Peddi, the sports action drama starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, has been facing criticism over the alleged hypersexualisation of Janhvi's character since its release. Despite the controversy, the film has been performing well at the box office.

According to Sacnilk, Peddi has brought in ₹6.30 crore net in India on Thursday, taking its domestic collection to ₹193.55 crore. The film had an opening of ₹51 crore and collected ₹18.50 crore from its premieres.

Peddi has fared better than Ram's previous film Game Changer, which collected ₹120.40 crore in eight days of its release. However, the film's collections have been dipping since Monday, and it remains to be seen if the film's collections pick up over the weekend.

Peddi has become the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year and the highest-grossing South Indian film, beating Karuppu. The film tells the story of a aata coolie who fights for the identity of his people through sport.
