Peddi Box Office: Ram Charan Starrer Surpasses Sitaare Zameen Par, Earns ₹169 Crore

Peddi, the Ram Charan-starrer, has beaten Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par's lifetime collection, earning ₹169 crore in India. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, collected ₹12.05 crore on its first Monday, taking its domestic total to ₹169.70 crore.

The film had a strong opening weekend, crossing the ₹150 crore net mark in India within its first four days. Peddi has also beaten the lifetime hauls of several other films, including Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram and Prabhas' The Raja Saab.

The film, which tells the story of a marginalised community, has been praised for its story but also slammed for the portrayal of the female lead, played by Janhvi Kapoor. The director, Buchi Babu Sana, has apologised for the backlash and stated that he is removing the objectionable scenes.
