Actor-content creator Prajakta Koli has found a new creative high through books and audio storytelling. Her debut novel, Too Good To Be True, has struck a chord with readers and expanded into the audiobook space through her collaboration with Audible.
Prajakta says she often consumed the same story in multiple formats simultaneously, including Kindle, physical copies, and audiobooks. She chose to narrate Too Good To Be True herself instead of turning it into a dramatised production.
Reports have circulated about the potential Netflix adaptation of Too Good To Be True, with Prajakta producing and starring in it. While she remains cautious, she says, "100% I would love to do that."
The success of the book has been both overwhelming and validating for Prajakta, especially because writing was something she once lacked the confidence to pursue publicly. She credits romance novels for giving her the courage to write and is already working on more stories.
Prajakta believes audiences still crave heartfelt love stories, even if the industry has become hesitant about backing them. She credits Bollywood's iconic stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, for shaping her understanding of love on screen.
With an already packed schedule, Prajakta shows no signs of slowing down. Her upcoming slate includes Operation Safed Sagar, Single Papa season 2, and the final season shoot of Mismatched.
