Music composer Pritam's latest song, Mashuqa, featured in the upcoming film Cocktail 2, has been accused of plagiarism. The 1993 Italian song Se So Arrubate A Nonna is said to be similar to Pritam's work. In response, Pritam expressed his frustration on Instagram, stating that every song release comes with self-appointed music detectives who claim to find imaginary similarities. He sarcastically referred to them as his unpaid PR team, adding that it's not nice.

Pritam has faced similar allegations in the early years of his career. He has composed music for successful films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Barfi!, Brahmastra, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and many others. His latest project, Cocktail 2, stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna.
