Project Hail Mary's Priya Kansara has spoken out about the evolving representation of Indians in English films, saying that while there's been significant progress, there's still a long way to go.

The Indian-origin actor voiced the AI in Ryan Gosling's recent blockbuster, which has grossed over $500 million at the box office.

In an interview, Priya highlighted how Indian and South Asian representation has improved since her childhood, with more nuanced characters and interesting storylines.

However, she added that she still sees efforts to 'box' Indians and South Asians in the same stereotypes, despite the progress made.

Priya also shared her wish to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, calling his filmography 'mesmerising and beautiful.'
