The space movie Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, has finally secured more IMAX screens in India after a limited release due to Dhurandhar 2. Initially, only five shows were available, but following fan demand, the number has risen to 60. The film, which was released worldwide on March 20, was delayed in India until March 26. Despite its impressive visuals, which are best appreciated on a larger screen, the movie faced a shortage of IMAX shows. However, tickets for more than 60 shows are now available, with some screens already selling out.
Fans have expressed their delight on social media, with one user joking, 'I'm booked for my second showing of Project Hail Mary in IMAX 70mm on Sunday, except I'm in the front row so by the end of the movie, I think I will physically be in space.'
Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, Project Hail Mary is based on the bestselling novel by Andy Weir. The film stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, a man who wakes up on a spacecraft with no memory of how he got there. Sandra Hüller, James Ortiz, and Lionel Boyce also star in it.
