Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee has denied allegations of stealing character design from director Suman Ghosh's script for his film Abhiman. Suman Ghosh accused Prosenjit of stealing the character design and story from his script that he was planning to do with the actor. The allegations were made on the day of the film's release on June 19. Prosenjit responded to the allegations on his Facebook account, stating that he has the utmost respect for Suman as a filmmaker and that the character design in Abhiman is a fully independent project crafted by the director and writer. He added that his job as an actor is to breathe life into the script handed to him and that there was no intent to compromise anyone's creative trust.
