The third edition of Ragas by the River, held from 21st to 23rd March at The Riverview Retreat in Corbett, Uttarakhand, was a celebration of India's rich musical heritage.
Kutle Khan and his troupe opened the festival with a high-energy performance, followed by a lively khartal jugalbandi that drew the audience into rhythmic applause.
Armaan Khan's soul-stirring performance of Raag Miya ki Todi and other ragas created a serene atmosphere, while Kumaoni singer-songwriter Nikhil Saklani presented a vibrant set of Uttarakhandi folk and Pahadi songs.
The festival also featured a stunning riverside stage, where Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash took the stage for a sarod recital, followed by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan's demonstration of the unique technique of playing the sarod with his fingernails.
Other notable performances included Kaushiki Chakraborty's tribute to six iconic female artists, Rakesh Chaurasia's engaging flute performance, and a grand finale featuring Hariharan's nostalgic journey through his vast repertoire.
The festival drew over 400 attendees from India and abroad, including a group of 50 music enthusiasts from Singapore.
