Days after Vijay's Jana Nayagan was leaked online, Nelson Dilikumar's Jailer 2 faces a similar leak. A video clip from the Rajinikanth film has been circulating online, prompting Sun Pictures to issue a warning, even to fans.
The clip, reportedly taken on set, has spread across social media, with many, including fans, sharing it before it was taken down. Sun Pictures' spokesperson released a statement confirming the leak and assuring that their anti-piracy team is taking action to remove the content.
The production house also warned fans against sharing the clip, stating that they will not be responsible for any actions taken against accounts involved in sharing or promoting the clip.
This is the second leak in Kollywood within days, following the leak of Vijay's unreleased film Jana Nayagan on April 9. Chennai police have made nine arrests in the case so far.
Jailer 2 is directed by Nelson and is a sequel to his 2023 hit Jailer, starring Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, and Shiva Rajkumar, among others. A release date for the film has yet to be announced.
