Actor Rakesh Bedi has shed light on the creation of Dhurandhar's comic moments and the script's origins. During a recent conversation at the Amrit Ratna 2026 summit in New Delhi, Rakesh revealed that director Aditya Dhar was initially hesitant to incorporate comedy into the spy thriller.

Rakesh, who played the role of Jameel Jamali in the film, admitted that he was aware of the character's ultimate fate and the twist from the beginning. He shared that he suggested adding comic relief to the tense film and was initially met with reluctance from Aditya.

However, as they progressed with the film, Aditya started to enjoy the comic moments, and Rakesh began to enjoy it as well. Rakesh even recited his dialogue, 'Your b***ocks are very white', which was said in reference to the ducks in a scene in Dhurandhar.

Rakesh also addressed the long-standing claims that the Dhurandhar script came from the Prime Minister's Office. He said, 'No one could have written that line. When the film became a hit, some people claimed that the script of Dhurandhar came straight from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). I said, 'Tell me, who in the PMO could possibly write a line like this?' No one could even think of something like that).
