A new glimpse from Buchi Babu Sana’s sports drama Peddi has left fans confused about the film’s plot. The 44-second video shows Ram Charan as a pehelwan, taking part in mud wrestling, which is a departure from the previous promotional material that showed him as a cricketer.
The video shows Ram looking bulked up and wrestling like a pro, leaving fans to speculate that he might be playing dual roles. Some compared his previous looks to the glimpse, suggesting that he could be playing a father and son character, with the son being a cricketer and the father a wrestler.
Peddi is Buchi’s second film after the 2021 hit Uppena and is set to be released in theatres on April 30. The film stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu.
